Our Hiring Process

To begin the application process please fill out the form on the web page under our careers tab/ how to apply. (The tab you are currently on) From there, you may apply for a specific job, or submit a resume and application without specifying a particular job. However, applying specifically for one or more positions ensures prompt review and consideration because your resume is sent within hours to the recruiter responsible for that position.
- Preliminary screening
Our recruiter reviews the qualifications of all prospective employees and forwards the resumes of the most appropriately qualified candidates to the hiring manager. The hiring manager selects the candidates to be interviewed.
- Phone screening
Many times, a Quality Manufacturing Group recruiter will call to discuss your background and experience further to determine if you are a good fit for the position.
Depending of the type of job you are applying for, testing may be required, such as weld testing for welding positions, fitter’s test for fitters, etc. Applicants for all positions will be asked to complete a personality test.
- Scheduling an interview
If the hiring manager thinks you are a good fit for the open position, we will schedule an in-person interview. A recruiter will call to arrange a mutually agreeable date and time.
- The interview
Depending on the type of job and the department, you may have an interview with one or several individuals. In the interview, you will be able to find out more about Quality Manufacturing Group, the work we do, and the responsibilities specific to the job for which you are applying. In some cases, additional interviews will be scheduled in order to make a final decision.
- Reference check
If we’re considering you for a job offer, we will contact the references you provided in your application. Typically, this takes about a week. If the information we collect is satisfactory to us, we will proceed to make an offer.
- Background checks
If we consider you for a job offer, we will conduct a background check and a drug screening.
If you’re selected for the position, Quality Manufacturing Group will provide a formal offer in the form of a letter. The offer package will include starting wage and a summary of benefits, as well as other important information regarding compensation. There may also be a date that we expect to be informed of your decision.
- Hire and orientation
Once you accept the offer, we will discuss and determine your start date. On your first day at Quality Manufacturing Group, you will spend time with the HR department, completing salary, benefits, and other human resources forms, as well as reviewing orientation materials.
